From Africa to America:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcDpvfooslQ

After watching this video, what do you think should be done to help these men and children in America? Do you think that four months of rent is enough to get them started? What else could be done?

I think that we should definitely go through with the care package idea, and maybe even send over nonperishable food! I don't think that four months of rent is enough, because I mean look at it this way: you've just gone through the worst experiences anyone could ever go through, a foreign country is taking you in, and you have no idea what to do. These men need to be taught how to act in American society and be taught of the normal day to day things everyone knows of and doesn’t regard as troubling before they are thrust out into a new world as inexperienced as newborns, basically.

I think that the people from Africa should get all the help that they need until they can afford to pay their own rent. When they are settled down and have a reasonable job is when the the rent should stop being payed.
